Branson, MO – Branson Bank has begun collecting school supplies for area teachers to have extra supplies on hand for the 2014-2015 school year.

Beginning now until Friday, August 8th, supplies will be collected at Branson Bank’s three convenient locations: 1501 State Hwy. 248 – Branson, 3285 Falls Parkway – Branson, 15514 US Hwy. 160 – Forsyth.

“Teachers are the first to notice and care for the needs of their students,” said Bill Jones, President at Branson Bank. “Rather than create multiple distribution chains, we will streamline the process. Our community does a great job of offering FREE supplies through many local non-profit efforts, but there are some students that cannot attend these events simply due to lack of transportation. Putting these supplies directly in the hands of area teachers will ensure that distribution is fair and accessible to all students.”

The following items are needed: notebooks, filler paper, tissues, scissors, binders, pencil boxes, rulers, folders, highlighters, washable markers, crayons, pencils, pens, glue bottles, glue sticks, colored pencils, composition books, protractors, calculators, pocket dictionaries, and flash drives. Monetary donations will be accepted and the staff will shop for the school supplies.
