Branson Bank fully believes in giving back to the community, especially when it involves students and their pursuit of higher education. A scholarship program, developed in 2007, was established in order to provide a $500 scholarship to one graduating senior from each of the following schools: Branson, Hollister, and Forsyth.
Each year, High School graduating seniors are required to fill out an application and are given the option of completing a 500-word essay or scheduling a personal interview. A panel of Branson Bank staff select the award recipients based on academic achievement, character, community involvement, and need.
This year, three local seniors were selected to receive the $500 Scholarships. Representing Branson High School is Abraham Pascoe, who will be attending Southwest Baptist in the Fall. Adrian Gibbs, a Forsyth High School Senior, will be attending Ozark Technical College. Hollister High School recipient, McKenzie Hodges, will be attending Drury in the Fall.
“All three of our 2012 seniors have a bright future ahead of them,” said Lyndi Carnelison, Community Relations Coordinator. “We truly admire their work ethic, their commitment to academic excellence, and their dedication to their community involvement. We are very proud of their efforts and are pleased to present our $500 scholarship to Abraham, Adrian, and McKenzie.”
